Wood scroll case with finial top is 16′ tall x 4.5′ wide. Lift out the finial to view parchment paper scroll that extends more than 12 feet, and displays text in English on one side, and Hebrew on the reverse side.Beautiful Scripture Scroll of Esther is a reproduction of a Megillat Esther created by Moshe BenAvraham in 1617 in Ferrara, Italy. The original scroll was inscribed on parchment with spectacular decorations in vivid color accompanying the text. The area between the columns of text is decorated brilliantly with flora and fauna motifs. At the top of each page is a scene of the text on that page with subtitles. Images on the scroll depict life-culture, clothing, interior design, and food-as the artist knew it at the beginning of the 17th century. The scroll may be unfurled for display and reading, and then tied up with black satin ribbon enclosed. The scroll case includes a dimensional 4.5′ medallion in metallic finish, showing Queen Esther coming before the king. Gold foil debossed title is included in both English and Hebrew.
